This Weekend in Lahore: Learning and Yearning

April has you all geared up for some fun in the sun? Good. We’re bringing you some of the most exciting events and festivals to brighten up this weekend in Lahore. All we need you to do is clear out your schedule and follow ours instead.

daachi

Daachi Exhibition

Daachi Foundation is hosting its first exhibition of 2019 at the Model Town Community Center, and it is your one-stop shop for everything bespoke. This year’s theme is the armed forces of Pakistan. Vendors, big and small, are gathering from all across the country to exhibit their crafts and you do not want to miss it.

P.S. Wear comfortable shoes, you’re going to be there a while.

rotra music festival

Rotra Music Fest

The Rotra Music Festival is a fundraising concert where the likes of Kashmir, Bayaan, and Badnaam will be uniting in an effort to raise funds to eradicate polio. The open-air venue will be all decked out for the full day music extravaganza. Don’t forget to Instagram it!

P.S. Book a spot through easyticket.

7up festival

7UP Foodies Festival

After sudden delays and postponements, 7UP Foodies Festival is finally coming to Lahore this weekend. We could not be more excited for what promises to be the most lit food event this city has ever seen. After successful runs in other major cities across Pakistan, they’ve definitely got us anticipating.

P.S. Let us know which vendor you’re most excited about!

suno kahani

Suno Kahani

The National History Museum is hosting a reading of the Ahmed Nadeem Qasmi classic, Jalebian. Chances are you’ve read it growing up, in which case you already know that your kids are going to have a great time at the event. Spend this weekend in Lahore having some family fun. The event is open to all.

P.S. A picnic at Iqbal Park too, maybe?

chunri

Workshop on Chunri

IAC is all about the preservation of tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Their series of workshops aim to revive traditions, and this time around Ustad Surraya will teach you three techniques of tie-dying fabric. The workshop has been divided into three components: Khaka, Bandhni and Dyeing.

P.S. Register to attend right now!

Festivals, workshops, and exhibitions- is there anything this weekend in Lahore doesn’t offer up? Pick wisely.
