As tempting as it is to stay indoors and make the most of online Black Friday Sales, I must absolutely insist that you get off of your ass and make the most of this weekend in Lahore. There’s so much happening across the city that I went right ahead and kicked my five-event format to the curb. I’ve got a whole lot of things lined up for you, all you need to do is pick your favorites. Start choosing:
FiLUMS is back again. The event paves way for learning, inspiration, progress and constructive criticism – creating a space where new ideas are sown and old ones nourished.
P.S. Free for all!
Open Mic Night at Olojunction is back with the Poetry Special. A night for poets to come forward with their journals and head to the stage. If you’re a budding Faiz, time to shine.
P.S. Please no Rupi Kaur types though.
Okay so this event is technically for children but that doesn’t mean I won’t try to sneak my way in. Participants will learn three methods of book-binding and I’m all about that DIY life.
P.S. I’ll be binding all of my own book now, thank you very much.
Since we’re in the NIC we get to witness all sorts of workshops, Mitti Ghar has been hosting this for a while and if you’ve got a Ghost era fascination with pottery, as one does, check it out.
P.S. Ought to be therapuetic af.
Tom McLaughlin’s introduction to storytelling is sure to awaken the inner author in your little one. The reading will be followed by an interactive writing session with the participants. Sounds exciting!
