OUTSIDE OF LANGUAGE
Big Arundhati Roy fan? Surprise surprise – aren’t we all? IVS Gallery hosts this event full of wonder and philosophical musings, using The Ministry of Utmost Happiness as a starting point for further discussion. Chock-full of performances and narrations, this event examines the limitations and strengths of language and the role that it plays in defining the human condition.

Cursing, sex jokes and extraordinary antics define the comedy of Shehzad Ghias. To get your yuks this weekend in Karachi, you must attend this hour-long improv performance. You may want to leave your little ones at home for this.

KARACHI KA KEAMARI
TDF Ghar is back doing what they do best: retelling Karachi’s history. This day-long exhibition spans multiple weeks, and promises to take audiences through Karachi’s journey “from a small fishing village, to a thriving megatropolis”. After all, you gotta know history to make history!

No man is an island, just like no writer is an… well… island. Join the Desi Writers’ Lounge at the British Council this Saturday for a 2 hour writing session along with other participants. If this doesn’t get your creative juices flowing, nothing will.
