This weekend they’ve collaborated with USIP, Communita-Pakistan, Words & Metaphors and Outcast Magazine. The event is a panel discussion around the narratives like tolerance, gender identities and inculcating social pluralism in Pakistan through storytelling.

On the occasion of International Menstrual Hygiene Day, HER Pakistan is hosting a #WD2019 Satellite Event to celebrate #ThePowerOf Menstruation. The Oscar-winning “Period. End of Sentence.” explores the deeply rooted stigma around menstruation. Let’s share experiences and ideas to create a safe and healthy place for Pakistani girls to menstruate with confidence and dignity.

Heritage Foundation of Pakistan is embarking on scientific cleaning of facades of Karachi’s historic buildings. Architect Yasmeen Lari will demonstrate the method for gentle scientific cleaning of Karachi’s beautiful buff colored stone to heritage volunteers. Bas Ek Piyali Chai is a narrative journey of a tea-seller, Ghulam Raees who reminisces the good old days when he used to work at Ahmedeen’s tea shop on a busy street of town. Join the screening, followed by a moderated panel discussion with the producer, Ali Jaura and director, Muhammad Belaal. Meet the filmmakers and take part in the session over a refreshing drink and snacks as they talk about the making of the film, the concept, characters and more.
